Administrators and Users

This section explains the terms "administrator", "supervisor", "user", and "owner" as used in this manual.

Administrator

There are 4 types of administrators for the printer: user administrator, machine administrator, network administrator, and file administrator.

Their main role is to specify the settings for operating the printer. Their access privileges depend on the administrator type. Administrators cannot perform normal operations, such as printing.

Supervisor

There is only one supervisor. The supervisor can specify each administrator's password. For normal operations, a supervisor is not required, because administrators specify their own passwords.

User

Users are people using the printer for normal operations, such as printing.

Owner

A user who has registered files in the printer under the printer, or other functions is called an owner.
