Selecting a paper input location automatically - Performing reduced printing on the paper size specified

Use the following procedure to configure the machine to automatically reduce data that is larger than the specified paper size to match the paper when printing.

The example below is for printing A2-sized data on A3 paper.

1Press [Home] (Operation panel screen illustration) at the bottom of the screen in the center.

2Flick the screen to the left, and then press the [User Tools] icon (Operation panel screen illustration).

3Press [Machine Features].

4Press [Printer Features].

5Press [Right arrow key].

6Press the [RPGL Menu] tab.

7Press [Down arrow keyNext] until [43. Method to Auto Select Paper Input] appears.

8Press [43. Method to Auto Select Paper Input].

9Press [Auto 2 + Red/Enlg Ratio: Paper Size].

10Make sure that [A3] is selected, and then press [OK].

11Press [OK].

12Press [User Tools] (Operation panel screen illustration) on the top right of the screen.

13Press [Home] (Operation panel screen illustration) at the bottom of the screen in the center.

14Print the data from the computer.

The size determined according to the settings for "47. Method to Determine Original Size" on the RPGL Menu is reduced to match A3 paper for printing.

Note

  • For RP-GL, the data is reduced to the size with a 10-mm margin at each edge (top, bottom, left, and right) to the positions specified in "23. Printable Area (Hard Clip)". The data is automatically reduced and printed at a slightly smaller size than the paper.

  • For RP-GL/2, the data is reduced to the size with a 7-mm margin at each edge (top, bottom, left, and right) to the specified paper size. The data is automatically reduced and printed at a slightly smaller size than the paper.
