At high temperature or humidity or when paper is fed in a cross-grain direction, less than 40 sheets of plain paper can be stacked. If this happens, flatten curled originals by hand.

When you copy a large-size original, hold the leading edge of the original as it is ejected to help delivery so that it will not come into contact with the paper on the rear copy output.
