Setting the account for e-mail notification

Before you use Auto E-mail Notification or On-demand E-mail Notification, set up an e-mail account to be used for the function. Perform the following configuration task in Web Image Monitor:

1Log in to Web Image Monitor in administrator mode.

For details, see Displaying the top page.

2Click [Configuration] on the [Device Management] menu.

3Under "Device Settings", click [Email].

4Configure the following settings in Email Notification Account:

  • Email Notification E-mail Address: Enter the address using alphanumeric characters. This will appear as the sender (From:) of the e-mail notification. Send requests for e-mail notification to this address.

  • Receive Email Notification: Specify whether or not to use on-demand e-mail notification.

  • Email Notification User Name: Enter the specified user name for the e-mail account in "Email Notification E-mail Address".

  • Email Notification Password: Enter the specified password for the e-mail account in "Email Notification E-mail Address".

5Click [OK].

6Click [Logout].

7Quit Web Image Monitor.

Note

  • The user name and e-mail address that is already registered as the e-mail destination cannot be specified as the recipient of e-mail notification.
