Separation Pressure Lever Position

To prevent double feed, adjust the paper separation pressure using the separation pressure lever.

Paper separation pressure can be adjusted according to the paper weights as shown in the following table.

Paper Position	Paper Weight
1	Use this position if the leading edge of the paper is curled, or when the paper does not feed properly at Position 2.
2^*1	(mainly Europe and Asia): 81.6–209.4 g/m² (mainly North America): 21.7–55.6 lb.
3	(mainly Europe and Asia): 47.1–81.5 g/m² (mainly North America): 12.6–21.6 lb.
