If the machine is left idle for a certain period of time after printing, it will enter Energy Saver or Auto Off mode to reduce power consumption.
Energy Saver mode
The display goes off. Printing from a computer is possible in this mode. To operate the machine, press the [Clear Mode/Energy Saver] key, or place originals on the exposure glass or in the ADF.
To resume Energy Saver mode, press the [Clear Mode/Energy Saver] key.
Auto Off mode
The machine turns off automatically. To restart the machine again, turn on the main switch.
You can specify which mode the machine enters after a specified period of time elapses after a job is complete. For details see [System].
You can change the time the machine waits before entering Energy Saver or Auto Off mode. For details see [System].
The machine will not automatically enter the Energy Saver or Auto Off mode if:
A warning message appears
There is no ink
A paper jam occurs
The machine is making a master or printing
The machine is printing the second page of a combine print
The master eject box is full
There is no master
Originals are left in the ADF
A cover is open
User Tools are being used to make changes
The user code entry screen is displayed
The Data In indicator is lit or blinking
A mode is being specified on the control panel
