Replacing the Fuser Cleaning Unit/Fuser Unit

This section explains how to replace the fuser cleaning unit. When you replace the fuser unit, it is necessary to attach the fuser cleaning unit currently being used to the new fuser unit.

1Open the front covers.

2Pull down the lever.

3Pull the drawer out completely until it stops.

4Remove the screw.

5Push the lock lever to the right.

6Pull up the cover.

7Remove the fuser unit.

8Remove the screw.

9Move the plastic-capped lever to the left.

10Remove the fuser cleaning unit.

11Attach the fuser cleaning unit for the fuser unit by engaging its sides.

When you replace the fuser unit, it is necessary to attach the fuser cleaning unit currently being used to the new fuser unit.

12Secure the cleaning unit for the fusing unit with the screw.

13Place the fuser unit on the drawer with the triangular markings aligned as shown.

14Lower the cover.

15Push the lock lever to the left.

16Secure the fuser unit with the screw.

17Push the drawer slowly into the machine until it stops.

18Pull the lever up.

19Close the front covers.

20Reset the counter for replaceable parts.
