When a telephone call comes in, the machine rings. To receive a fax document, you should switch the machine to the Facsimile mode and press the [Start] key on the control panel.
To use Manual Reception, set [Switch Reception Mode] to [Manual Reception] in [Reception Settings] under [Fax Features]. For details, see Reception Settings.
When the machine rings, pick up the handset of the external telephone
If you hear beeps, make sure that no original is placed 
Press [Start]
If the machine is not in the Facsimile mode, press the [Facsimile] key before pressing the [Start] key.
Press [Start RX]
Replace the handset of the external telephone
The machine will start receiving.
