Registering Names

This section describes how to register names.

1Display the initial settings screen.

  • When using the standard operation panel

    Press the [User Tools/Counter] key.

  • When using the Smart Operation Panel

    Press the [Home] key on the top left of the control panel. Flick the screen to the left, and then press the [User Tools] icon (Operation panel screen illustration) on the Home screen 4.

2Press [Address Book Mangmnt].

3Check that [Program / Change] is selected.

4Press [New Program].

5Press [Change] under "Name".

The name entry display appears.

6Enter the name, and then press [OK].

7Press [Down arrow keyNext].

8Press the key for the classification you want to use under "Select Title".

The keys you can select are as follows:

  • [Frequent]: Added to the page that is displayed first.

  • [AB], [CD], [EF], [GH], [IJK], [LMN], [OPQ], [RST], [UVW], [XYZ], [1] to [10]: Added to the list of items in the selected title.

You can select [Frequent] and one more key for each title.

9Press [OK].

10Press [Exit].

11Close the initial settings screen.

  • When using the standard operation panel

    Press the [User Tools/Counter] key.

  • When using the Smart Operation Panel

    Press [User Tools/Counter] (Operation panel screen illustration) on the top right of the screen.

Note

  • Registered names can be used for documents in the Document Server. For details about the Document Server, see "Document Server", Copy/ Document Server.

  • For details on how to access System Settings, see Accessing User Tools.

  • When using the Smart Operation Panel, you can display the Address Book screen by pressing the [Address Book Management] icon on the Home screen 4.
