What is RTIFF?

RTIFF is a printer language that can be used to print bit map image data in the TIFF, CALS, and JPEG formats from a UNIX workstation or a computer.

RTIFF rasterizes TIFF, CALS, or JPEG files on the machine. Rasterizing means to perform drawing dot by dot based on the bit map image data. Therefore, no printer driver is needed, and the RTIFF Menu can be configured for print settings using the control panel of the machine.

Furthermore, when printing from a UNIX workstation or computer when the machine is connected to a TCP/IP network, you can temporarily change the print settings by adding printing options to a print command. The settings of the RTIFF Menu configured on the control panel of the machine follows the conditions that are not specified by the printing options.
