Setting the Gradation Correction Value

Correct the gradation in two areas: bright areas (highlights), and medium areas (midtones). [Print Test Pattern 1 for Calibration] is used to set the correction value for highlights, and [Print Test Pattern 2 for Calibration] is used for mid tones.

1Press [Color Calibration] on the [Maintenance: Image] screen.

Press [Down arrow key] to switch the screen.

2Press [Adjust Auto Density].

3Press [Start] to adjust Auto Density.

The confirmation message appears when complete. Press [Exit].

4Press [Print Test Pattern 1 for Calibration] or [Print Test Pattern 2 for Calibration] to print the selected sheet.

5Select the color you want to adjust.

6Press [minus] or [plus] to adjust the correction value for the selected color, and then press [OK].

Enter the value between 0 and 6.

7Press [Print Result] to check the result by printing the calibration sheet.

8After printing, press [Yes] to save the settings.

9Press the [User Tools] key.
