To use Wireless LAN, you must set the IP address, subnet mask, gateway address, Frame Type (NW), and active protocol. For details, see Ethernet Configuration.
For details about Wireless LAN settings and their default values, see Interface Settings. These items appear in the [Wireless LAN] under [Interface Settings] menu.
Ethernet and Wireless LAN cannot be used at the same time.
Press [Interface Settings] on the [System Settings] screen.
For details about how to access the [System Settings] screen, see Displaying the Printer Configuration Screens Using the Control Panel.
Press [Wireless LAN].
Press [Communication Mode].
Select the transmission mode of Wireless LAN, and then press [OK].
If [Communication Mode] is set to [802.11 Ad-hoc Mode], specify the channel to use for transmission. Press [Ad-hoc Channel].
Ask your network administrator for the channel to specify.
Select the Ad-hoc channel, and then press [OK].
Select an Ad-hoc channel according to the IEEE 802.11 standard you are using.
When using IEEE 802.11 b/g:
(mainly Europe and Asia)
1–13 channels
(mainly North America)
1–11 channels
When using IEEE 802.11 a:
36, 40, 44 and 48 channels
Press the [User Tools] key.
Print a configuration page to confirm the settings.
