With an optional finisher and punch unit attached, holes can be punched into printed outputs.

Important

  • Configure the option settings for the printer using the printer driver when bidirectional communication is disabled. For details, see "Making Option Settings for the Printer", Driver Installation Guide.

  • Be sure to set the paper size and paper orientation in the printer driver when using this function.

  • For details about the paper size and thickness that can be punched, see Supported Paper for Each Output Tray.

  • Punch positions will vary slightly from page to page as holes are punched into each sheet individually.

  • The number of holes that can be punched varies according to country.

Punch Position

The specified punch position varies depending on paper feed and print data orientation. The following table shows the punch positions:

  • Region A icon (mainly Europe and Asia)
