Preventing Documents from Being Left Unattended

When a print job is sent to the printer, you can specify whether to always store the document in the printer without printing it or cancel printing it. The documents that have been stored automatically in the printer are not printed unless you use the control panel to print them, so that unattended documents on the tray are prevented.

If a document is a Normal Print, Sample Print, or Stored Print file, it can be printed physically. The job type can be specified in the "Job Type:" list of the printer driver. For details, see Printing Stored Documents.

1Press [System] on the [Printer Features] screen.

For details about how to access the [Printer Features] screen, see Displaying the Printer Configuration Screens Using the Control Panel.

2Press [Down arrow key] repeatedly until [Restrict Direct Print Jobs] appears.

3Press [Restrict Direct Print Jobs].

4Select [Automatcly. Store Jobs] or [Cncl All Direct Prt Jobs].

5Press [OK].

6Press the [User Tools] key.
