When the printing function is restricted, only authorized users are able to use that function.
Users will be authenticated in the printer driver.

When print jobs are restricted, you can only authenticate through the PCL6 printer driver. Printing from the PostScript 3 printer driver will not be possible.
The table below shows how users can be authenticated to use the printing function.

Authenticating through the printer driver
Open the file you want to print on your computer.
Open the printer driver's properties.
Click the [Valid Access] tab.
Type the user code using 1 to 8 digits, and then click [OK].
Execute a print command.
If an incorrect user code is entered, the job will be canceled automatically (there will be no error message).
