Mac OS X

When the printer is connected to Mac OS X and the Data In indicator does not flash or light up, try the following procedures to check the port connection.

Using [About This Mac]

1From the Apple menu, select [About This Mac].

2Click [More Info...].

3Under [Contents], for [Hardware], Select [USB].

Using the printer browser - Mac OS X 10.4 or earlier

1On the [Go] menu, click [Utilities].

2Double-click [Printer Setup Utility].

3Click [Add].

Check that the printer appears in the browser. If it does not, reinstall the driver.

Using the printer browser - Mac OS X 10.5 or later

1From the Apple menu, select [System Preferences...].

2Under "Hardware", click [Print & Fax].

3Click [+], and then click [Default].

4Select the name of the printer you are using, and then click [Add].

Check that the printer appears in the browser. If it does not, reinstall the driver.
