Page Separation and Length Reduction

If the size of a received document is longer than the paper loaded in the machine, each page of the document can be split and printed on several sheets, or reduced and printed on a single sheet.

Illustration of page separation and length reduction

For example, this function splits the document if the document length is 20 mm (0.8 inch) or longer than the paper used. The document is reduced if it is less than 20 mm (0.8 inch). When a document is split, an asterisk (Asterisk) is inserted at the split position and about 10 mm (0.4 inch) of the split area is duplicated on the top of the second sheet.
