Front and right view

1. Print cartridge

   Contains toner and the photo conductor unit.

   When “Replacement of Print Cartridge is now necessary.” appears, replace this unit.

2. Friction pad

   This ensures only one sheet of paper is fed in at a time. If multi-sheet feeds occur, clean the friction pad carefully.

3. Registration roller

   Feeds in sheets of paper for copying or printing. Be sure to clean this roller if it becomes dirty.

4. Transfer roller

   When “Replacement Required: Maintenance Kit” appears, replace this roller.

5. Guide board

   Open this to remove jammed paper.

6. Paper feed roller

   Feeds in sheets of paper for copying or printing. Be sure to clean this roller if it becomes dirty.

Rear and left view

1. Fusing unit

   Fuses print images onto paper.

   When “Replacement Required: Maintenance Kit” appears, replace this unit.

2. Envelope lever

   Raise this lever when loading envelopes in trays 1 4 or the bypass tray.

3. Fusing unit lock levers

   Lift these levers to replace the fusing unit.
