Configuring the WINS Server

The machine can be configured to register its NetBIOS name with a WINS server when the power is turned on.

The following WINS servers are supported: Windows 2000 Server and Windows Server 2003/2003 R2/2008/2008 R2.

If there is no reply from the WINS server, the NetBIOS name is registered by broadcast.
The NetBIOS name can be entered using up to 15 alphanumeric characters.
