Scan Size
Originals are scanned as A4 or 81/2 × 11 size documents. If you want to change the scan size, specify a size other than A4 or 81/2 × 11 in "Scan Size".
If you want to scan an original whose horizontal size is longer than A4 or 81/2 × 11, such as an 81/2 × 14 size original, use the ADF.
[Custom Size]
Select [Custom Size] to scan originals whose sizes do not match a standard template or to scan only a part of an original.
You can specify the length and width of your originals in mm or inches.
Template size
Select a template size to scan originals at a specified size regardless of the actual size of the originals you have placed.
You can specify the following template sizes:
A4
, A5
, A5, B5 JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard), 81/2 × 14, 81/2 × 13, 81/2 × 11, 51/2 × 81/2, 51/2 × 81/2
You can enter the following values in Original Size (X1 and Y1) under [Custom Size]:
X1: 140 mm (5.5 inches) or higher
Y1: 128 mm (5.0 inches) or higher
