Loading Paper into the Large Capacity Tray

This section describes how to load paper into the LCT.

Important

  • Load paper of the same size and orientation in both left and right side trays.

  • For the right stack, align the right edge of the paper with the right edge of the tray. For the left stack, align the left edge of the paper with the left edge of the tray.

  • The LCT uses 81/2 × 11Portrait paper. If you want to load A4Portrait paper, contact your service representative.

  • Each tray can hold up to 1,000 sheets of paper. Do not stack paper over the limit mark.

1Carefully pull out the LCT until it stops.

2Square the paper and place it print side up.

The machine cannot detect stacks of ten or fewer sheets. If the stack on the left side of the tray contains ten or fewer sheets, the machine will not detect it and not move it to the right side of the tray. Check the number of sheets remaining on the left and if there are 10 or fewer, transfer them by hand to the right side of the tray.

3Carefully push the LCT fully in.
