Stored Reception File User Setting

You can limit fax reception to users who can perform operations on documents stored on the hard disk. To perform operations on received faxes, the user must enter his/her user code or login user name/password using Web image Monitor or the machine's control panel.

Important

  • You can grant fax operations permission only to users whose user code or login user name/password are already registered in the Address Book.

  • It is recommended that you use Web Image Monitor operating under the same network environment as this machine. Otherwise, the Web browser may not open and an error may occur.

1Press [Facsimile Features].

2Press [Reception Settings].

3Press [Stored Reception File User Setting].

4If you want to use a user code, press [On].

If you press [Cancel], the setting returns to that in Step 3 without being changed.

5Press the [Destination] key of the user you wish to specify, and then press [OK].

If the selected user is deleted from the destination list, the message "Deleted from Address Book" is displayed. Select another user.

7Press the [User Tools/Counter] key.

Note

  • This function is only available when [Store] is selected in Reception File Setting. For details, see "Reception File Setting".

  • If the programmed user code was deleted using the Address Book Management function under System Settings, you cannot view received and saved documents using Web Image Monitor or the machine's control panel. Select [Off] in step 4 or reprogram the user code.

  • To restrict operations, such as printing or deleting received documents from the machine's control panel, select "On" for the User Parameters (switch 10, bit 0). See "Parameter Settings".
