Activating the Printer Monitor

When the Printer Monitor is active, information such as the printer's status and the status of print jobs sent from applications can be monitored.

If the printer driver is configured to monitor print jobs, the Printer Monitor starts whenever a print job is received and monitors all the events that occur while printing is in progress. The printer driver can be configured to notify the user with a warning massage and/or alert sound in the event of an error such as a paper jam.
