Registering a Form

Use the following procedure to register a form data (PCL macro) that you have created on the printer or your computer.

1On the [Start] menu, click [Control Panel], and then click [Printers and Faxes] in the [Printers and Other Hardware] category.

The [Printers and Faxes] window appears.

2Select the icon for this printer, and then click [Properties] on the [File] menu.

The printer properties dialog box appears.

3Click the [Device Settings] tab, and then click [Settings...] in the [Accessories] area.

4Click [Advanced Options] in the menu list, and then click [Macro Installer...].

5Click [Install Macros...].

6Click [Browse...], and then specify a location for the macro.

A list of available form data is displayed in [Available macros:].

7Select the macro you want to add in the [Available macros:] list.

8In the [Install macro to] area, select a saving location for the registered macro.

If you select [Host Directory], the macro will be stored on your computer.

If you select [Printer Disk], the macro will be stored on the printer's hard disk drive.

9Click [Install].

The [Macro Information] dialog box appears.

10Enter a name for the macro, and then click [OK].

11Click [OK].

12Click [Close].

Make sure that the registered macro is displayed in the [Installed Macros:] list.

To change the name of the macro, click [Edit Macro...].

13Click [Close].

14Click [OK].

15Click [OK].
