How to Enter Characters (China)
You can use the cursor to enter characters.
If there are characters above the cursor, new characters are inserted in front of those characters.
This section explains which characters are available.
You can enter the following characters:
Chinese Character Set GB2312
Chinese Character Set GB18030
Symbols
single- and double-byte alphanumerical characters
qualified numbers
Greek letters
Cyrillic letters
double-byte pinyin characters
pinyin diacritical tone markings
This section explains the entry screen and the keys displayed on it.
You can switch between the following input methods:
[PinYin]
Enables pinyin character input mode.[Alphabet]
Enables alphanumerical character input mode.[Symbol Entry]
Mode for symbols, qualified numbers, Greek letters, Cyrillic letters, double-byte pinyin characters, and pinyin diacritical tone markings.[Text Code]
Enables character code input mode. Enter a character by its code if you do not know its reading.[

Move the cursor left and right.
When inserting characters using the cursor, remember that characters are placed in front of the cursor.[Backspace]
Deletes the character that is directly in front of the cursor.[Delete All]
Deletes all entered characters.[Shift Lock]
Switches alphabetic characters between upper and lower case.[Space]
Inserts a blank space.[No Conversion]
Associates entered pinyin simply with pinyin.[Conversion]
Converts entered pinyin to the corresponding Chinese characters.[User Text]
Adds a User Text that has been registered in advance. For details, see Entering User Text (China).
QWERTY keyboard
The layout of the keyboard varies depending on the set display language. To use the QWERTY keyboard, press the key displayed on the bottom of the screen, and change the layout of the keyboard. For details about the display language, see User Guide of your device.
