DeviceOption Utility
Over view :
Printer option device utility for MetaFrame Auto Create Printer function
Above 2 drawings show the same print command, double sided print with 2 staples on the left, process under MetaFrameTM environment utilizing "Auto-Create Client Printer" function.

Top flow shows process without "DeviceOption Utility for MetaFrame." Without DeviceOption Utility for MetaFrame, the print request cannot command to process, even though necessary optional devices, auto-duplex and stapling finisher, are equipped.

Bottom one shows process with DeviceOption Utility for MetaFrame. With DeviceOption Utility for MetaFrame, all additional devices are available. The printer set can be utilized unconsciously.

*it is possible to transfer the information of aditional devices to the Auto Create Printer without DeviceOption Utility from CPS 4.0 roll-up2.

Addtional function: Bidi-Assist function(*1) (Reflect Printer Information of Client PC)
MetaFrame server obtains printer device option/accessory configuration data from the client PC, and then recreates them in an auto-created client printer.

Operates Device Option Utility with "Bidi-Assist function".
When the PC with Device Option Utility Client Module installed log on as ICA client, the printer device option/accessory configuration data is recreated to an auto-created client printer.
