LANIER SAP Device Types

LANIER SAP Device Types allow the utilization of available printing features on LANIER multi-functional products (MFP's) and laser printers (LP's). The implementation of the LANIER SAP Device Type ensures that device specific features such as stapling, hole punching and tray selection can be fully utilized in the printing workflow.

SAP printing to LANIER devices can also be accomplished by implementing a "standard" SAP Device Type such as HPLJ4(HP LaserJet 4.0). When implementing such a Device Type, it should be noted that all device specific printing features (stapling, hole punching, tray selection etc.) may not be accessible.
Barcode and OCR Package for SAP (Optional)

*2 Limitation
- If the device front panel setting "Memory Usage" is set to "Font Priority", a duplex colored Portrait orientation ABAP report print job may cause the printer to "freeze". To avoid this, it is recommended to use the default setting "Frame Priority".
- This device model does not support PJL-based status read-back. Therefore, it may not be possible to print from SAP via a PJL-based Output Management System.
- This device model only supports face-up output. Therefore, a multi-page simplex print job will have its pages sorted in wrong order.
