Vertical Glossy (In-track) Streaks (Due to the Toner Wax on the Image)
Toner wax in the shape of the fuser belt smoothing roller stains the image.

Cause:
This is caused by uneven wax adhesion on the fusing belt.
This is prone to occur when printing images covering a high image area of 40% or more in total of all colors on paper with a thickness of Paper Weight 4 or more.
Solution:
(a) Execute Smooth Fusing Belt
In the [Machine: Maintenance] group on the [Operator Adjust.] menu, select 0508: [Manually Smooth Fusing Belt], and then execute 02: [Uneven Gloss (Short Time)].
Print the image. Has the problem been resolved?
Yes | Go to the next step. |
No | Execute 02: [Uneven Gloss (Short Time)] in 0508: [Manually Smooth Fusing Belt] until the problem is resolved. |
Check to see if reducing throughput causes any problems.
Yes | Proceed to "(b) Adjust the print speed and fusing temperature". |
No | Finished! |

Improvement can be expected, and the effect is permanent. On the other hand, there is a side effect of reduced throughput.
(b) Adjust the print speed and fusing temperature
If the paper is not registered as custom paper, register the brand of the paper.
In [Detailed settings] for the custom paper you are using, select 1231: [Print Speed], and then set the value in the following corresponding settings to [Low].

Select "Clear/Special" when using Neon Yellow, Neon Pink, or Invisible Red. Select "Metallic" when using Gold or Silver.
After performing the solution, it is recommended to perform the color calibration of the external printer controller.
