Excessive Gloss

The printed image is excessively glossy.

Cause:

Due to toner characteristics, the sensitivity to gloss and temperature is prone to be high.

The gloss is prone to be high especially on thick or matte paper.

Note

  • When printing is performed in FCS mode, the solution can be applied to FCS (white), but it is not recommended for FCS (clear) because doing so will reduce the gloss of the special toner (clear).

Solution: (Paper other than those mentioned above)

1If the paper is not registered as custom paper, register the brand of the paper.

2In [Detailed settings] for the custom paper you are using, select 1232: [Fusing Temperature], and then decrease the value in the following corresponding settings by 5°C.
