Cause:

At the upper frame of the heat pipe and the scanning part of the detection unit, steam from the paper adheres to the low-temperature part as condensation. The condensation turns to water droplets, which fall on or adhere to the paper.

If condensation adheres after fusing, rippling or uneven streaks occur. (White spots do not occur.)

If condensation adheres before paper transfer, it causes a transfer error, resulting in white spots.

Occurrence conditions:

  • When printing in low temperatures.

  • When printing in high humidity (such as rainy days or days before/after rain).

  • When storing paper in high humidity.

Solution:

  • Do not store paper in a high humidity environment.

  • Store paper in moisture-proof packaging materials.
