Tray Paper Settings
This section describes the setting items for the paper to be loaded on paper tray 1 through 8, bypass tray (Tray A), Interposer, and Interposer for Perfect Binder.
When you assign a custom paper to a paper tray
Auto Tray Switching is used for automatically switching between trays for custom papers that have the same configured registration number.
When printing in the Auto Paper Select mode, Auto Tray Switching switches between trays that are configured for custom papers that meet all of the following conditions:
The paper type is [Plain Paper] or [Recycled Paper] and both custom papers' paper types are the same
Paper Weight is "Paper/Ream Weight 2 (60.0-72.9gsm)" or "Paper/Ream Weight 3 (80.1–105.0 gsm)" and both custom papers' paper weights are the same
Both custom papers' paper sizes are the same
You cannot edit some items when creating a new setting duplicating a Master Paper.
Setting Item | Description |

Paper Brand | Displays the name of the data when it belongs to Master Paper or it is a Custom Paper that is registered using Master Paper. |
Manufacturer | Displays the manufacturer’s name when the data belongs to Master Paper or a it is a Custom Paper that is registered using Master Paper. |
Custom Paper Name | Enter a name for the paper using up to 48 characters. You cannot use a name that is already used for another paper. |
Paper Weight Unit | Select the unit to use for the paper weight. |
Paper Weight | Select the paper weight. |
Paper Thickness Unit | Select the unit to use for the paper weight. |
Paper Thickness | Select whether to specify paper thickness. If you select [Set], specify the value of paper thickness. |
Paper Type | Select the paper type to use. |
Tab Stock Settings: Tab Position Shift | Enter the size of the index tab when [Tab stock] is selected in "Paper Type". |
Coated Paper | Select the type of coated paper |
Paper Color | Select the color of the paper to use |
Prepunched | Select whether the paper has punch holes. |
Textured or Not | Select whether the paper is textured. |
Apply Duplex | Select whether to print on both sides of the paper. |
Apply Auto Paper Select | Specify whether to include the selected paper in the target of auto paper select. |
Paper Brand Serial Number | Displays the brand serial number of the selected paper. |
Media ID | Displays the media ID when the data belongs to Master Paper or it is a Custom Paper that is registered using Master Paper. |
