Changing the Parameter Settings

"Parameters" refer to the switches that configures various features in the Fax function. You can specify the detailed settings regarding the behavior of the machine when printing a received fax or when sending or receiving a fax.

How to operate on the Parameter Setting screen

Each switch of a parameter 8 "bits" of [0] to [7], and a function is assigned to each bit number. To switch the setting, press each bit number and change the current value to "0" or "1".

Important

  • Attach the option to configure or enable/disable the function before changing each switch of a parameter.

1Log in to the machine as the machine administrator on the control panel.

2On the Home screen, press [Settings].

3Press [Machine Features Settings].

4Press [Fax Settings][Initial Settings] tab [Parameter Setting] to display the switch operation screen.

5Press the switch number to change.

6Press the bit number to change and specify the current value.

The value changes to "1" or "0" every time you press the number.

7Press [OK].

8Press [Home] (Operation panel screen illustration) after specifying the settings.

Note

  • To print the current values of the parameters whose setting is referred frequently, press [Fax Settings][Initial Settings] tab [Parameter Setting: Print List]. For the value that has been changed from the default value, "*" is printed.
