Managing Locked Files as the File Administrator

If a user has forgotten the password to access a stored document, the file administrator can change the password. The file administrator also can delete unneeded documents and unlock documents locked by entering an invalid password.

Changing the Password for a File

1Enter "http://(IP address of the machine) or (host name)/" in the address bar of the web browser, and then press the [Enter] key.

2Enter the user name and password to log in to Web Image Monitor.

3Click [Printer: Print Jobs] from the [Print Job/Stored File] menu.

4Click the Details () icon of the stored file for which you want to change the password.

5Click [Change] of "Password".

6Enter a new password, and then click [OK].

7After completing the configuration, log out of Web Image Monitor and close it.

Deleting a File

1Enter "http://(IP address of the machine) or (host name)/" in the address bar of the web browser, and then press the [Enter] key.

2Enter the user name and password to log in to Web Image Monitor.

3Click [Printer: Print Jobs] from the [Print Job/Stored File] menu.

4Select the file you want to delete, and then click [Delete].

5Click [OK].

6After completing the configuration, log out of Web Image Monitor and close it.
