Copier Features Settings

You can use the ADF on M 2701 and G1127.

Sort

Configures the machine to sort the output pages into sets when making multiple copies of a multi-page document (P1, P2, P1, P2...).

When [Rotate Sort] is selected, the machine outputs sets of pages in portrait and landscape orientation alternately.

To use the rotate sort function, all of the following conditions are required:

  • Tray 2 or Tray 3 is installed.

  • You must load paper of the same size in opposite orientations (portrait and landscape) into at least 2 paper trays.

Default: [Off]

Original Type

Specifies the content of originals, to optimize copy quality.

  • Mixed

    Select this when the original contains both text and photographs or pictures.

  • Text

    Select this when the original contains only text and no photographs or pictures.

  • Photo

    Select this when the original contains photographs or pictures. Use this mode for the following types of original:

    • Photographs

    • Pages that are entirely or mainly photographs or pictures, such as magazine pages.

Original Type

Specifies the content of originals, to optimize copy quality.

  • Voucher

    Select this when copying a voucher.

    This function is available only when the original is set on the exposure glass, not when it is set in the ADF.

  • Diazo

    Select this to make a blueprint of the original.

    This function is available only when the original is set on the exposure glass, not when it is set in the ADF.

Default: [Mixed]

Density

Specifies the image density for photocopying.

Increase the level (black squares) to increase the density.

Default: The default setting is the middle of 5 adjustment levels.

Reduce/Enlarge

Specifies the percentage by which copies are enlarged or reduced.

Note that enabling combined copying disables the setting specified in this item, and applies [Auto R/E] automatically.

Duplex

Specifies duplex copying. Select a copy mode according to your original and how you want the copy outputs to appear. For more details, see Duplex Copying.

Note that enabling duplex copying automatically disables ID card copying.

Combine

Specifies combined copying. Select a copy mode according to your original and how you want the copy outputs to appear. For more details, see Combined Copying.

Note that enabling combined copying automatically disables ID card copying.

Specifies the ID Card Copy setting.

    Specify whether to draw a center line when making ID card copy.

    You can change the ID card copy scanning size.

    • Horizontal: 50 to 148mm (1.90 to 5.83 inches)

    • Vertical: 50 to 216mm (1.90 to 8.50 inches)

Default(horizontal × vertical): 63 × 95mm (2.49 × 3.75 inches)

Resolution

Specifies the resolution for scanning the original.

Specify the orientation of printouts when using the duplex/combined function.

Folder Print

You can store scanned documents on the machine.

APS/Auto R/E Priority

Enables the auto paper select function or auto reduce/enlarge function.

If the auto paper select function is active, the machine automatically selects a paper tray to which the paper suitable for the original has been loaded.

If the auto reduce/enlarge function is active, the machine automatically selects the zoom ratio suitable for the size of the original and the size of the paper loaded to the specified tray.

Note that enabling combine copying, ID card copying, or Folder Print automatically disables the auto paper select function.

Auto Tray Switching

Sets the machine to continue printing when the specified tray runs out of paper while copying by switching to another tray to which paper of the same size, type, and direction is loaded.

Displays the number of originals on the screen in copier mode.

Duplex Margin

Specifies the top and left margin when duplex copying.

  • Top Margin: 0 to 50 mm (0.00 to 2.00 inches)

  • Left Margin: 0 to 50 mm (0.00 to 2.00 inches)

Default (top margin × left margin): 0 × 0mm (0.00 × 0.00 inches)

Letterhead Setting

Specifies whether to copy in the letterhead mode.

In the letterhead mode, the machine performs duplex printing where the front of the sheet is an odd-numbered page.

Max.Number of Sets

Specifies the maximum number of sets.

1 to 999

RotaSort:AutoContinue

Sets the machine to continue sort printing when the specified tray runs out paper while performing rotate sort copying and there is no other tray to perform rotate sort copying.

To use this function, [Auto Tray Switching] must be set to [On].
