Specifying the Paper Setting for the Bypass Tray

If you are using copier function, you can register the paper setting of the paper that is loaded on the bypass tray.

Important

  • If you select [Machine Setting(s)] in [Bypass Tray] under [Tray Setting Priority] in [System] of the Printer Features menu, the settings made using the control panel have priority over the printer driver settings. For details, see "System", Print.

  • The default of [Bypass Tray] is [Driver / Command].

  • Use A4Landscape, 81/2 × 11Landscape size OHP on Home screen 4 transparencies, and specify their size.

  • Usually only one side of OHP transparencies can be used for printing. Be sure to load them with the print side down.

  • When printing onto OHP transparencies, remove printed sheets one by one.

1Press [Change Setting] on the bypass tray paper settings screen.

2Select the type of paper that is loaded.

If you want to set the paper thickness, press [Paper Thickness] and set a paper thickness.

3Press [Next].

4Select the size of the paper that is loaded.

If you want to specify a custom size, press [Custom] and enter a paper size.

5Press [OK] twice.

Registering the current paper settings for the bypass tray

1Press [Recall/Program] on the bypass tray paper settings screen.

2Press [Program].

3Press the name area, and then enter a name.

4Press OK.

To apply the registered settings to the currently loaded paper, press [OK].

To finish specifying the settings, press [Cancel].

Recalling the paper settings for the bypass tray

1Press [Recall/Program] on the bypass tray paper settings screen.

2Select a name of the settings to recall.

3Press OK twice.

Modifying the name registered for the paper settings for the bypass tray

1Press [Recall/Program] on the bypass tray paper settings screen.

2Select the name to modify.

3Press [Edit], and then enter a new name.

4Press [OK].

To apply the registered settings to the currently loaded paper, press [OK].

To finish specifying the settings, press [Cancel].

Deleting the registered paper settings for the bypass tray

1Press [Recall/Program] on the bypass tray paper settings screen.

2Select the name to delete.

3Press [Delete] on the bypass tray paper settings screen.

4Press [Yes].

To finish specifying the settings, press [Cancel] twice.

Note

  • If you turn the settings for bypass tray paper setting screen not to display, specify the setting from [Display Bypass Tray Paper Settings Assist] under [Tray Paper Settings] in [User Tools].

  • Settings remain valid until they are changed.

  • We recommend that you use specified OHP transparencies.
