Guide to Functions of the Machine's Internal Options
OCR unit
Allows you to use the searchable PDF function.
Adobe PostScript 3 unit
Allows you to print by Adobe PostScript 3 printer driver.
If you remove the Adobe PostScript Option from your machine, the PS/PDF function, which is a standard function, will no longer work.
XPS card
Allows you to print XPS files.
USB device server
Allows you to add an Ethernet port to the printer and use two IP addresses at the same time.
Extended USB Board
Allows you to add a USB port.
IEEE 1284 interface board
Allows you to connect to an IEEE 1284 cable.
File format converter
Allows you to download the documents that are stored in the Document Server. See "Downloading Stored Documents Using a Web Browser", Copy/Document Server.
Wireless LAN interface board
Allows you to communicate over wireless LAN.
VM card
With this card, you can install embedded software applications.
The Ethernet port and Wireless LAN interface unit cannot be used simultaneously.
Only one of the following options can be installed on the machine at any one time: Wireless LAN interface board, Extended USB Board, File format converter and IEEE 1284 interface board.
