Security Options

This describes the parameters that can be set on [Security Options].

Extended Security

Specify whether or not to use the extended security functions. For details about the extended security functions, see “Specifying the Extended Security Functions”, Security.

Service Mode Lock

You can specify whether or not to prohibit entering service mode. This setting appears only when the user has logged in as the machine administrator.

Default: [Off]

Firmware Version

You can display the firmware version of the machine.

Network Security Level

You can specify the network security level.

Default: [Custom]

Auto Erase Memory Setting

You can specify whether or not to automatically delete the memory. When set to [On], specify the overwrite times. To specify the number of memory overwrites, select [Random Numbers]. This parameter appears only when the optional hard disk is installed.

Erase All Memory

You can initialize all data stored in the machine's memory. When the optional hard disk is installed, the data stored on the hard disk is also erased by being overwritten. When deleting memory, specify the overwrite times. To specify the number of memory overwrites, select [Random Numbers].

Transfer Log Setting

When the optional hard disk is installed, you can specify whether or not to send log information to the log collection server.

Machine Data Encryption

When the optional hard disk is not installed, you can encrypt the data stored in the machine’s NVRAM. When the optional hard disk is installed, the documents stored on the hard disk are also encrypted. For details about this function, See “Encrypting Data on the Machine”, Security.

Collect Logs

You can specify whether or not to collect job logs, access logs, and eco-friendly logs. For details, see "Specifying Log Collect Settings", Security.
