Enabling SSL for SMTP Connections
Use the following procedure to enable SSL encryption for SMTP connections.
You can enable SSL for SMTP connections using a web browser from networked computers. (We use Web Image Monitor installed on this machine.)
Open a web browser from a networked computer, and then log in to Web Image Monitor as the network administrator.
For details on how to log in, see Administrator Login Method.
Point to [Device Management], and then click [Configuration].
Click [Email] under "Device Settings".
Click [On] for "Use Secure Connection (SSL)" in the "SMTP" section.
If you are not using SSL for SMTP connections, click [Off].
Click [OK].
Log out.
For details about logging out, see Administrator Logout Method.
