Logging In/Out Using the Control Panel
This section explains the procedure for logging in to the machine when Basic Authentication, Windows Authentication, or LDAP Authentication is set.
When User Code Authentication is active, see User Code Authentication Using a Printer Driver.
To prevent use of the machine by unauthorized persons, always log out when you have finished using the machine.
Logging In Using the Control Panel
Press the [Menu] key.
Press the selection key beneath [Login].
Press the selection key beneath [Enter].
Press the [] , [] , [] or [] key to select the user name, and then press the [OK] key to enter it.
Press the selection key beneath [Accept].
Press the selection key beneath [Enter].
Press the [] , [] , [] or [] key to select a password, and then press the [OK] key to enter it.
Press the selection key beneath [Accept].
Logging Out Using the Control Panel
Press the [Menu] key.
Press the selection key beneath [Logout].
Press the selection key beneath [Yes].
If authentication fails, the “Authentication failed.” message appears. Check that the Login User Name and Login Password are correct.
