Removing Jammed Ring Combs

If ring combs become jammed, a message appears on the control panel. Follow the message's instructions to remove the jammed ring combs. This section describes how to remove jammed ring combs when the procedure is not displayed on the control panel.

CAUTION

  • When removing bound booklets, keep your hands clear of the paper exit. You might trap your fingers if you do not.

Note

  • The ring combs set in the ring comb cartridge might move or become slanted when you remove the jammed ring combs from the ring comb cartridge. Before replacing the cartridge, check that all the ring combs are straight and properly aligned.
