When printing in an environment where classification codes are required, a classification code must be specified for each print job. This function is available for the PCL 6 printer driver.
The specified classification code is stored in the printer driver.
To switch between different classification codes, install the printer driver under different names, and specify different classification code for each driver.
When using the PCL 6 printer driver
Click the menu button of the application you are using, and then click [Print].
Select the printer you want to use.
Click [Preferences].
Click the [Detailed Settings] tab.
In the "Menu:" box, click [Job Setup].
Enter the classification code in the "Classification Code:" box.
Change any other print settings if necessary.
Click [OK].
Start printing from the application's [Print] dialog box.
When [Document Server] is selected in the "Job Type:" list, the classification code cannot be entered.
If you are printing on a registered custom paper, make the correct paper settings for the custom paper on the printer driver. For details about custom paper, see "Registering a Custom Paper", Preparation.
