(a) Execute the adjust image density.

1In the 02: [Machine: Image Quality] group on the [Adjustment Settings for Operators] menu, select 0201: [Execute Image Quality Adjustment] and execute [Adjust Image Density] twice.

2Print the image. Has the problem been resolved?

Yes

No

Proceed to "(b) Adjust the image transfer output".

1In [Advanced Settings] for the custom paper, check the present value of the image transfer output.

<Printing in black and white>

Select 1212: [Image Transfer Output], and then select [Black] of [BW].

<Printing in full color>

Select 1212: [Image Transfer Output], and then select [Black] of [FC].

2Is it set to 10?

Yes

Proceed to "(c) Adjust the transferability at the paper transfer unit".

No

Go to the next step.

3Change the value of the image transfer output.

<Printing in black and white>

Select 1212: [Image Transfer Output], and then increase the value in [Black] of [BW] by 1.

<Printing in full color>

Select 1212: [Image Transfer Output], and then increase the value in [Black] of [FC] by 1.

4Print the image. Has the problem been resolved?

Yes

Finished!

No

Repeat Step 1 to 4. If the problem persists even though you have increased the value to 10, proceed to "(c) Adjust the transferability at the paper transfer unit".

(c) Adjust the transferability at the paper transfer unit

1In [Advanced Settings] for the custom paper, check the present value in 1229: [Paper Transfer Pressure]. Is it set to [Pressure 3]?

Yes

Proceed to "(d) Adjust the image position".

No

Go to the next step.

2Set 1229: [Paper Transfer Pressure] to [Pressure 3].

3Print the image. Has the problem been resolved?

Yes

Finished!

No

Go to the next step.

4Decrease the value in 1229: [Paper Transfer Pressure] by 1 level.

5Print the image. Has the problem been resolved?

Yes

Finished!

No

Repeat Steps 4 and 5. If the problem persists even though you have decrease the value to [Pressure 1], contact your service representative.

(d) Adjust the image position

1In [Advanced Settings] for the custom paper, select 1101: [Image Position], and then adjust the following settings.

  • Adjust the cursor in [With Feed] of [Image Position: Side 1] to [plus] from the present value.

  • Adjust the cursor in [With Feed] of [Image Position: Side 2] to [plus] from the present value.

2Print the image. Has the problem been resolved?

Yes
