When continuous printing is performed, streaks may appear where the intermediate transfer belt is applied to the edge of the paper.
This may occur when:
coated paper is used
Printing half-tone images with low gradation
Full-color images with black half-tone parts are printed
5,000 or more sheets of paper are continuously printed
To adjust the following settings, pre-register the type of paper in use as a custom paper. For details about registering custom papers, see "Specifying a Custom Paper", Preparation.
Even when white streaks should appear, problems could be resolved by continuous printing is performed on larger-size paper.
You can prevent white streaks from enlarging by applying continuous printing of same-size paper to a maximum of 3,000 sheets and printing different-size paper in between.
