Screen Device Settings

Screen Startup Mode

Select the startup mode of the control panel.

  • Normal

    When you turn on the power, the [Home] screen appears after the startup screen is displayed. Normal mode uses less energy than Quick mode.

  • Quick

    The [Home] screen appears as soon as you turn on the power.

Default: [Quick]

Screen SD Card Slot

Specify whether or not enable the SD card slot when you use the functions of the control panel.

Default: [Active]

Screen USB Memory Slot

Specify whether or not enable the USB slot when you use the functions of the control panel.

Default: [Active]

Server Settings

  • Server Function

    Specify whether or not enable the server function.

    Default: [Active]

  • Install Server Certificate

    You can install a server certificate for SSL communication.

Application Authentication Settings

  • General Settings for Application Authentication

    Default privileges for all users to be able to use each application can be set by selecting [Require Auth. or Not].

    This can be specified by the machine administrator only when Basic Authentication, Windows Authentication, or LDAP Authentication is enabled.

  • Privileges to Use for Each User

    Default privileges which have been set in [General Settings for Application Authentication] can be changed for each user.

    This can be specified by the user administrator only when Basic Authentication, Windows Authentication, or LDAP Authentication is enabled.

In order to change these settings, administrator authentication must be enabled. For details, see Security Guide.

Function Priority

Specify the mode to be displayed automatically after the operation switch is turned on or when System Reset mode is turned on.

Default: [Printer Status]

Function Key Settings

  • Function Key

    Specify whether or not to enable the function keys.

    If the function keys are disabled, [Function Key 1] to [Function Key 6] are not available.

    Default: [Inactive]

  • Function Key 1 to 6

    • Allocated Function

      Specify the application allocated to the function key.

      Default: [Not Programmed]

    • Display Name

      Enter the name of up to 64 characters to be displayed in the function key. The name cannot be entered if [Allocated Function] is set to [Not Programmed].

      Default: [blank]

IC Card/Bluetooth Software Settings

Specify the IC card reader connected to the control panel or the function used via Bluetooth on the control panel. For details about this function, see "Quick Card Authentication", Security Guide.

User's Own Customization

Specify whether or not to reflect each user's settings on the control panel when the user logs in to the machine.

Default: [Prohibit]

Banner System Message Display Time

  • Time Message Displayed (sec.)

    Specify how long a message is displayed in a banner on the control panel before it switches to the next message. You can select a range of 1.8 to 6.0 seconds in 0.2 second intervals.

    Default: [4.0 second(s)]

  • Time Message Not Displayed (sec.)

    Specify how long the banner on the control panel remains blank while a message displayed switches to another one following it. You can select a range of 0.8 to 3.0 seconds in 0.2 second intervals.

    Default: [2.0 second(s)]

Support Settings

  • Help Functions

    Specify whether or not the help (Operation panel screen illustration) icon is displayed in the banner on the control panel. You can access Help when pressing the help (Operation panel screen illustration) icon.

    Default: [On]

  • Display Guidance Screen

    Specify whether or not the guidance screen is displayed every time you press the help (Operation panel screen illustration) icon. If you disable this setting, the guidance screen is displayed only when you access Help for the first time.

[Back] Key

Specify whether or not to enable the function to return to the previous screen when you are using applications. Even enabled, this function may not be applicable, depending on screens such as those for the top page of an application or error display screens. When the function is disabled, an error tone sounds when you push [Return].

Whether this setting is enabled or disabled, the operation is always enabled for the standard Android application screens or screen features.
