Importing Device Information

Use the following procedure to import the device information saved on an SD card.

From Web Image Monitor, log in as the machine administrator.

Point to [Device Management], and then click [Configuration].

Insert an SD card into the media slot on the side of the control panel.

For details about inserting the SD card, see "Inserting/Removing a Memory Storage Device", Getting Started.

Click [Import/Export Device Setting Information] under "Device Settings".

Configure the import conditions.

Press [Choose File] of the "File to Import" to select the file(s) to import.
Specify whether to include or exclude the "Import of equipment peculiar information". "Import of equipment peculiar information" includes the IP address, host name, fax number, and other information.
Enter the specified encryption key when the file was exported.

Press [Run Import].

Log out.

The machine restarts.

If import or export fails, you can check the log for the error. The log is stored in the same location as the exported device setting information file.
