The Human Detection Sensor is on the right side of the machine. If it is enabled and the machine detects a person approaching it, the machine enters Sleep mode automatically. If the sensor remains disabled for a specified period, the machine enters Sleep mode. For details, see "System Settings", Connecting the Machine/System Settings.
The machine enters Stand-by mode in the following cases:
When the Human Detection Sensor detects the changes of the environmental conditions or any movement of a person, even when a person does not stand in front of the sensor.
When the sensor is exposed to air flows, direct sunlight, or strong electromagnetic waves.
The machine does not enter Sleep mode in the following cases:
While the Human Detection Sensor detects the changes of the environmental conditions or any movement of a person, even when a person does not stand in front of the sensor.
When the sensor is exposed to strong electromagnetic waves.
The machine enters Fusing Unit Off mode even if a person stands by the machine when:
[Fusing Unit Off Mode (Energy Saving) On/Off] is set to [Off]
[Exit Fusing Unit Off Mode] is set to [On Printing]
