Solution:

The solution depends on which side of the paper the problem occurs on.

(a) If the problem occurs on side 1

1Adjust the setting for the side 1 of the paper. In [Advanced Settings] for the custom paper in use, decrease the absolute value of the negative current by 5 microA in [Paper Transfer Current Setting: Side 1].

Example: If the present current is -100 microA, change it to -95 microA.

2Print the image. Is the problem resolved?

Yes

Finished! If the problem also occurs on side 2 of the paper, perform the solution described in "(b) If the problem occurs on side 2".

No

Decrease the absolute value of the negative current by another 5 microA.

3Repeat Step 2. If the image is lighter in density but the problem persists, reset the current to the original value and go to Step 4.

4In [Advanced Settings] for the custom paper in use, decrease the absolute value of the negative current by 5 microA in [Image Transfer Current Setting].

Example: If the present current is 80 microA, change it to 75 microA.

5Print the image. Is the problem resolved?

Yes

Finished!

No

Decrease the absolute value of the negative current by another 5 microA.

6Repeat Step 5. If the image is lighter in density but the problem persists, contact your service representative.

(b) If the problem occurs on side 2

1Adjust the setting for the side 2 of the paper. In [Advanced Settings] for the custom paper in use, decrease the absolute value of the negative current by 5 microA in [Paper Transfer Current Setting: Side 2].

Example: If the present current is -100 microA, change it to -95 microA.

2Print the image. Is the problem resolved?

Yes

Finished!

No

Decrease the absolute value of the negative current by another 5 microA.

3Repeat Step 2. If the image is lighter in density but the problem persists, contact your service representative.
