Registering an SMB Folder

1Press [Home] (Operation panel screen illustration) at the bottom of the screen in the center.

2Flick the screen to the left, and then press the [Address Book Management] icon.

3Check that [Program / Change] is selected.

4Select the name whose folder you want to register.

Press the name key, or enter the registered number using the number keys.

5Press [Auth. Info], and then press [Down arrow keyNext].

6Press [Specify Other Auth. Info] on the right side of "Folder Authentication".

When [Do not Specify] is selected, the SMB User Name and SMB Password that you have specified in "Default User Name / Password (Send)" of File Transfer settings are applied.

7Press [Change] under "Login User Name".

8Enter the login user name of the destination computer, and then press [OK].

9Press [Change] under "Login Password".

10Enter the password of the destination computer, and then press [OK].

11Enter the password again to confirm, and then press [OK].

12Press [Folder].

13Check that [SMB] is selected.

14Press [Change] or [Browse Network], and then specify the folder.

To specify a folder, you can either enter the path manually or locate the folder by browsing the network.

15Press [Connection Test] to check the path is set correctly.

16Press [Exit].

If the connection test fails, check the settings, and then try again.

17Press [OK].

18Press [User Tools] (Operation panel screen illustration) on the top right of the screen.

19Press [Home] (Operation panel screen illustration) at the bottom of the screen in the center.

  • To register the name, see Registering User Information.

  • You can enter up to 64 characters (128 bytes) for the user name and password.

  • You can enter a path up to 256 characters (256 bytes).

  • If User Authentication is specified, contact your administrator.
