Specify this type of authentication when using the Quick Card Authentication function to authenticate users.
Registering an IC card to a user registered in the Address Book allows the user to log in to the machine by simply holding the IC card over the reader when the authentication screen is displayed.
Instead of using an IC card, you can also log into the machine by waving over the machine a smart device equipped with a RICOH Smart Device Connector.

Under Quick Card Authentication, you cannot log in as an administrator by holding the card over the reader. To log in as an administrator, press [Log In Using Keyboard], and then enter the login user name and password.
