Importing Device Information

Import device information saved on an SD card.

Press the [Menu] key, and then select setting items using the [Down arrow key] or [Up arrow key] key.

1Log in from the control panel as an administrator with all privileges.

2Select [Device Setting Information] Press [OK]

3Select [DevSettgInfo: Imp (MemDev)] Press [OK]

4Select [Select Devc Setg Info File] Press [OK]

5Select the file. Press [OK]

6Select [Device Unique Information] Press [OK]

7Select [Include] or [Exclude] Press [OK]

8Select [Enter Encryption Key] Press [OK]

9Select [Enter] Enter the encryption key that was specified when the file was exported. Select [Accept]

10Select [Import] [Import]

11When the confirmation screen appears, press [Yes].

12Make sure the message regarding that the exporting process being successfully completed appears. Select [Exit]

The printer restarts.

13Turn the printer off, and then remove the SD card.

1Insert an SD card into the media slot at the front of the control panel.

2Log in from the control panel as an administrator with all privileges.

3Display the “Device Setting Information: Import (Memry Strge Devc)” screen.

[System Settings] [Administrator Tools] [Device Setting Information: Import (Memry Strge Devc)]

4Select the device setting information file you want to import.

[Device Setting Info. File] Select the file(s) [OK]

5Select the image file for Home screen.

[Image for Home Screen] Select the file [OK]

6Select whether or not to import the device unique information.

[Device Unique Information] [Include] or [Exclude] [OK]

Device unique information includes the IP address, host name, etc.

7Enter an encryption key.

[Enter Encryption Key] Specify the encryption key that was created when the file was exported [OK]

8Import the information.

[Run Import] [OK] [Exit]

The printer restarts.

Note

  • If import or export fails, you can check the log for the error. The log is stored in the same location as the exported device setting information file.
